Fusion is a feature in Dragon Ball Online Generations. It is a special transformation that allows two players' characters to combine into one. It is also one of the few transformations to not have any type of mastery.
There are 3 different types of Fusion in the game.
Absorption[]

Absorption is an ability exclusive to Majins that can be unlocked at level 100. This technique can be triggered by holding down G, and then pressing whatever button the player assigned this technique to.
Upon triggering this ability, the player will coat a locked-on player (regardless on what transformation or fusion) in a goo. This triggers a brief F-key struggle. If the player wins, they successfully kill and absorb the opponent, in which the opponent can respawn or go to the Other World. If the opponent wins, they simply escape.
Upon absorbing the opponent, the player gains the top half of their victim's clothing. The player is able to transform in this state, as well as stack with Kaioken and/or Blue Kaioken. The player also gains their victim's base stats; in other words the player's base stats will be added by their victim's base stats (including their level, though this doesn't affect general gameplay), thus the fusion's base stats. This boost is unlimited, and does not come with a transformation bar. The player will have to wait 5 minutes (300 seconds) before using the technique again. Once Absorption is available, the player is able to use it on another player, but doing so will replace the former added stats with the new victim's added base stats.
Currently, Majins can only absorb players who are lower in level, or players who are within 100 levels above.
Fusion Dance[]

The Fusion Dance is a transformation skill unlocked at level 450 by any Playable Race. Players can acquire the Fusion Dance by talking to a Metamoran Special Quest Giver on Grand Kai's Planet in the Other World, wherein they will have to complete a short series of button prompts for which the Fusion Dance serves as a reward.
In order to commence the Fusion Dance, both fusees must have the skill in their inventory. One player (hereby referred to as "the initiator") must lock onto their desired Fusion partner (hereby referred to as "the recipient"), access their Transformation tab and press whatever button the Fusion Dance is assigned to. The recipient will then be prompted to accept the Fusion Dance request or decline. If the recipient accepts, a short cutscene will play as the two fuse, during which both players must input the correct string in order for the fusion to be considered successful; failure to do so will result in a "failed fusion" (detailed below). If the recipient declines, the initiator may request again immediately.
Once Fusion has occured, the initiator will be the first to have control of the resultant Fusion. Player control can be handed off to the other party by holding G then pressing H. Additionally, unmastered transformations or stacking Kaioken on top of transformations will no longer drain the Transformation Bar, and they will remain active even if control to swapped to a player who neither has the forms nor has access to them due to being a different race.
At the top left of both players screen, a bar labelled "Fusion Duration" will slowly decrease in capacity. Once expired after roughly 180 seconds, the Fusion will end and both players will resume themselves as independent bodies, with an additional 5 minute cooldown between Fusions that can only be circumvented through leaving and rejoining the server.
Stat Calculation[]
To calculate the base stats (i.e. "Fusion Output") of a resultant Metamoran Fusion, take the lowest value between each player and multiply it by 2.5. Example:
- The initiator has the following stats: Level 700, 2000 Health, 500 Agility, 500 Ki Control, 1400 Physical Damage, 600 Ki Damage.
- The receiver has the following stats: Level 600, 300 Health, 300 Agility, 500 Ki Control, 600 Physical Damage, 1400 Ki Damage.
- The lowest values between these stats are as follows: Level 600, 300 Health, 300 Agility, 500 Ki Control, 600 Physical Damage, 600 Ki Damage.
- These values are finally multiplied by 2.5: Level 1500, 750 Health, 750 Agility, 1250 Ki Control, 1500 Physical Damage, 1500 Ki Damage.
- If the Fusion was performed unsuccessfully, the lowest values are instead divided by 2: Level 300, 150 Health, 150 Agility, 250 Ki Control, 300 Physical Damage, 300 Ki Damage.
Appearence[]
Whenever two players are fused, their nametag will be a portmanteau of the two fusees' usernames. For example, if Roblox users SonnyDha_B and Hell_Fired fused together, the resulting fusion would systematically be named "Hell_yDha_B". The fusion entity's nametag is also labelled with "[FUSION]". In terms of appearances, the resulting fusion will be a combination of both players' hair, skin, facial features and/or any racial features (i.e. a Yardratian's bulbous head, a Namekian's exposed muscles, etc). The result is entirely random and can result in all kinds of different combinations. All fusions born from the Fusion Dance don a Metamoran jacket with baggy pants complete with a long belt. The fusion's physical appearance is dependent on whether they're failed or successful: failed fusions are more rotund while successful fusions have a more muscular and athletic build. While fused, the player currently controlling the fusion can pass the control to their partner by pressing G + H. The fusion's fighting style and animations correspond to those the one the controlling player is using.
Potara Fusion[]

The animation that plays upon commencing a Potara Fusion.
Potara Fusion is a transformation skill accessed through use of the Potara consumable item on another player. Unlike Absorption and the Fusion Dance, there is no level requirement for Potara Fusion and it can be done with any character, at any level, with any level gap between them (with one caveat detailed below).
In order to commence the Potara Fusion, one player (hereby refered to as "the initiator") must:
- Have first acquired the Potara Earring [One Ear] Accessory via use of the Black Star Dragon Balls.
- Have proceeded to purchase one or more Potara Consumable Items from the Supreme Kai World in the Other World.
Once acquired, the initiator must then lock-on to another player (hereby referred to as "the receiver"), equip the Potara item through their Inventory and then use it by pressing H followed by the assigned item slot. The receiver will then be prompted to accept the Potara Fusion request or decline. If the receiver accepts, a short cutscene will play as the two players fuse. If the receiver declines or the prompt window expires, the initiator's Potara item will not be consumed.
Like fusions born of the Fusion Dance, Potara Fusions can use all transformations available to them without their Transformation Bar decreasing. Unlike Fusion Dance fusions, Potara Fusions do not have a time limit and will only expire on death or if one of the fusees leaves the server.
NOTE: due to a perceived oversight, receivers can only interact with the Potara Fusion prompt if they have the Fusion Dance already unlocked. This sets the level cap to a soft requirement of 450.
Stat Calculation[]
To calculate the base stats (i.e. "Fusion Output") of a resultant Potara Fusion, find the median values between the stats of both fusees, then multiply those numbers by 2.75. Examples:
- The initiator has the following stats: Level 700, 2000 Health, 500 Agility, 500 Ki Control, 2000 Physical Damage, 1 Ki Damage.
- The receiver has the following stats: Level 600, 300 Health, 300 Agility, 500 Ki Control, 1 Physical Damage, 2000 Ki Damage.
- The median of these stats are as follows: Level 650, 1150 Health, 400 Agility, 500 Ki Control, 1000.5 Physical Damage, 1000.5 Ki Damage.
- The resultant medians are finally multiplied by 2.75: Level 1787.5, 3162.5 Health, 1100 Agility, 1375 Ki Control, 2751.375 Physical Damage, 2751.375 Ki Damage.

The appearence of a Potara Fusion can vary greatly depending on the fusee's races, clothing, and myriad of other customizations. As a general rule of thumb, all Potara Fusions will:
- wear a full set of Potara Earrings,
- use the bottom-half of the initiator's clothes & the top-half of the receiver's clothes,
- uses the color options selected by the initiator,
- use all accessories both parties were wearing (with the exception of the weapon accessory, which prioritizes the initiator's weapon if one is selected),
- use both hair models,
- use the initiator's face,
- use the body texture of the player currently in control (i.e. a Saiyan in control will use their respective body types, while a Namekian/Majin/Kanassan in control will use their own unique body types),
- and display the Angel Halo only if the player currently in control is revived.
