Dragon Ball Online is a series of Roblox games made by SonnyDhaBoss. Based on the Korean and Japanese MMORPG Dragon Ball Online
(ドラゴンボールオンライン, Doragon Bōru Onrain, Korean: 드래곤볼 온라인, Deulaegon Bol Onlain), the series has been going on since 2012, when the first game came out.

History[]
On September 25, 2012, the series' first installment Dragon Ball Online was released by SonnyDhaBoss, marking the beginning of the series. As of 2020 May 25, the game has garnered over 16.2 million visits, over 33,000 likes, and over 113,000 favorites
.[1] However, as time passed, the game experienced a gradual drop in players, and eventually the amount of players and servers became nearly nonexistent. At some unknown point of time, the game was marked in Experimental Mode.[1]
At an unknown point of time, Anime Online Studios was founded.
On February 20, 2015, SonnyDhaBoss released a public test for the next installment Dragon Ball Online Revelations. Playing the public test rewarded the game badge Save The Future!; 719,288 players received the badge.[2] The game was officially published in January 14, 2017. As of 2020 May 25, the game has over 24.9 million visits, over 53,000 likes, and over 200,000 favorites.[3]
On March 13, 2018, SonnyDhaBoss released a public stress test of the third installment Dragon Ball Online Generations.[4] Over 409.2 thousand players participated.[4]
On October 23, 2019, while Dragon Ball Online Generations was still in development, SonnyDhaBoss' Roblox account was terminated for selling Roblox virtual items for real world compensation.[5] Sonny created a new account the next day. His termination merely caused a minor setback to Dragon Ball Online Generations' development, as Sonny was able to recover majority of the features.[6] However, Sonny had to disband Anime Online Studios and later founded Asunder Games,[6] and Dragon Ball Online and Dragon Ball Online Revelations would no longer be able to receive any updates anymore.
Dragon Ball Online Generations was released on October 24, 2019.[7] As of 2020 May 25, the game has over 5.7 million visits, over 24,000 likes, and over 74,000 favorites.[7]
